The students with the best academic performance of half a hundred secondary schools in the districts of Braga, Bragança, Viana do Castelo and Vila Real will spend three days of next week at the University of Minho, where they will try to be students and researchers, integrated in international research teams.
The 180 students of the 11th and 12th years are welcomed at the B1 auditorium on the campus of Gualtar, in Braga, by the Dean for Student Affairs and Pedagogical Innovation, Manuel João Costa. Next, the young people will develop activities in their scientific areas of choice, in the different Schools and Institutes of the institution. The closing session will take place on Wednesday, the 19th, at 4:30 p.m., in the auditorium B1 of Gualtar, with the participation of the Rector Rui Vieira de Castro.
The "The Best Student at UMinho" program was conceived as an innovative approach to bring the academy closer to the younger ones, encouraging them to do quality higher education and cutting-edge research, as well as to raise awareness in the community in general of the knowledge produced in this University.
