The "Carbon Material" project was highlighted in several media, like Porto Canal, Diário do Minho, Correio do Minho, Revista O Instalador, Green Savers, Ver Portugal, among others, for its innovative, differentiating and environmental character.

“UM’s scientists believe that nanomaterials can reduce pollution and water use in the textile industry”; “CEB uses nanomaterials to reduce pollution and water consumption”; "Nanomaterials can reduce pollution and water use in the textile industry”, are some highlights about Carbon Material.

The project aims the development of a biological treatment, that by adding nanomaterials will allow the reduction of both pollution and the amount of water consumed in textile dyeing. The results obtained hers are very promising and there is the possibility that the process will be used with other pollutants such as pesticides and antibiotics.
